Who can resist those eyes! Just look into those eyes and you can easly be hooked on one of the sweetest breeds of dogs around. Just one look and it’s easy to see why the Cocker Spaniel was the number on choice of pet lovers throughout the 1980’s.
Photos show the playful side, the glamorous side and, as you can see in this Cocker Spaniel gilcee print, the intense "I’m here for you, and you alone" look. Or, maybe that look really is saying "I will do just about anything if you will just give me one more treat!"
Adding color and a pop art flare to the Cocker Spaniel was a natural. Any dog that can be so cute, yet so mischievous should come in multiple colors!
Artist Laura Sotka carefully chooses and crops the image then creates a high contrast black screen of the photo, which is set aside for later. The colors are meticulously hand painted before the black screen and features are added. Saving the eyes for last, she adds the soul to her pieces, which make her pop art dogs so remarkably lifelike.
